Mains Mains
  • Jerk Chicken (Spicy) £8.90
    • Our six-stage Jamaican Jerk Chicken starts with a secret spice mix and marinade. It’s then flame-grilled the traditional way over coal, basted twice, flung in the oven to cook through, to be returned to the grill to crisp up with one more layer of jerk basting sauce. It’s finished with chicken pan gravy, mango and coriander.
  • Curry Goat (Spicy) £9.20
    • This Indo-Jamaican, one-pot wonder will knock your socks off! But don’t spill it on your top: the turmeric and madras curry powder stain! Finished with mint-cucumber yoghurt, pomegranate and coriander. It’s all in the long marinade; deeper flavours are reached through the slow cooking of meat on the bone. This is goat on the bone, big bones.
  • Stewed Chicken With Dumpling (Spicy) £9.50
    • House-seasoned chicken breast is sealed off in the pot, fried in garlic, chilli and ginger to then stew with tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, carrots and dumplings. The usual suspects of bay and thyme are in the mix, making this dish fragrant. The fat-free dumplings keep this light for such a hearty stew.
  • The Drop Fish Stew (Spicy) £8.90
    • Where most Caribbean fish dishes fry the fish first, we have opted to steam Silver Hake steaks on the bone in the cooking liquor, accompanied by garlic, chilli, ginger, tomatoes, potatoes, peppers and carrots. It’s all in the fish stock! Made with hake bones, prawn shells and white wine, it has a deep flavour and is as healthy as it comes. (Allergen note: contains shellfish.)
  • Ackee and Saltfish (Spicy) £9.00
    • Salted Cod sautéed with ackee, onions, tomatoes, garlic, thyme, black pepper and pimento, finished with dill. The ackee fruit was imported to Jamaica from West Africa in the late 1700s. This is the national dish of Jamaica!
  • Jerk Haloumi (V) (Spicy) £8.90
    • Pan fried, then lashed with jerk pimento sauce; there’ll be no dry halloumi here! Accompanied by mango-coriander salsa and scotch bonnet mayo.
  • Curry Veg (V) (Spicy) £8.40
    • Sweet potato, peppers, onion, spinach, carrot, cabbage, tomato, coconut cream and coriander fried in our chilli and ginger spice paste. Finished with coconut milk, dill and lime. Health food to the face!
  • Pepper Steak Stew With Spinners (Spicy) £10.50
    • Cooked-down spicy steak stew with potatoes, peppers, carrots and spinners (boiled dumplings), flavoured with bay, thyme and paprika. Traditional Jamaican dish.
  • Grilled Lamb Chops (Spicy) £12.50
    • Our specialty! Marinated overnight in ginger, chilli, garlic, cumin, coriander and black pepper, grilled how you like them, finished in a pan with chicken pan gravy, which caramelises the chops creating a sort of cumin bbq sauce. Anyway… we recommend medium-rare.
