Vini Di Giovanni, Vernaccia Rossa, Umbria, Italy, 12.5% The man behind this beautiful light red is a shepherd turned cheesemaker turned winemaker. It hails from the rolling hills of Pianello to the north of Perugia, from land of less than three hectares - which the vines share with sheep and olive trees. Even the label of this wine is special, it’s made from grass. Incidentally, this light red would work well with either lamb or goat’s cheese. We love this wine.
