Dessert Liverpool Restaurants and Takeaway Menus

The main city of Merseyside, once home to the Beatles and an important port in the UK. Liverpool is very multi-cultural in its population, which is reflected in the food on offer. There are a series of redeveloped Docklands, the most famous of which is Albert Dock which not only has a good selection of restaurants, but also many attractions including the Beatles Story, the Tate Liverpool (art) and for historians, both a maritime and slavery museum.

Opinion states that some of the best restaurants are based in the docks, serving every style of cuisine you could possibly want including takeways, steaks,Indian and Italian food. A great pub-style bar, The Smugglers Cove offers deli-style meals but also rotisserie, barbeque and an amazing selection of drinks and cocktails. Docklands Fish and Chips serves great meals to take away or eat in, and their homemade onion rings are to die for!

The City centre has world class shopping at Liverpool One, Metquarter and Cavern Walk all of which are interspersed with restaurants and cafes, some of which are featured in the Good Food Guide. Recommended are Lunya for Catalan and Spanish food with great tapas plates, or award winning Etsu for Japanese food at its best. For truly locally sourced food, The Monro specializing in fish and excellent meat is highly recommended.
